One of the traditional Chinese Huo Xue Hua Yu drugs(Coronary Heart No.Ⅱ)has been used in the clinical treatment of coronary heart diseases and thrombo-embolic diseases.The present paper describes the effect of Coronary Heart No.Ⅱ (0.5ml,1g/ml)on the mesenterie microcirculation disorder caused by adrenaline(5μg)in mice. The results of this study are as follows:Coronary Heart No.Ⅱ can prevent blood flow from stoppage caused by adrenaline,delay the occurrence of stoppage of blood flow,decrease the extent of vascular contraction and help recover the vessel diameter.In our experiments,7/10 of the animals in study have their blood flow unstopped and the degree of vascular contraction was decreased by 15.4%,the control being 37.5% and 30% respectively(p<0.01). Coronary Heart No.Ⅱ can resist partially the action of adrenaline.In our experiments it made blood flow recover from stoppage quickly. As compared with the normal saline group as control,it increased the effect by about fourteen-fold(27.25/1.84).The decrease in diameter of the microartery was 1/2.7 in the experimental group and 2.5/6.75 in the control(p<0.01). Coronary Heart No.Ⅱ showed no marked effect in the change of blood flow caused by adrenaline.But it was notable for facilitating the recovery of the diameter of the mieroartery(p<0.01). The use of the solubiliging agent tween 80 alone caused stoppage of blood flow in experimental animals.Different degrees of contraction in the vessels occurred.Thus,in order to improve the effect of the treatment with Coronary Heart No.Ⅱ,some other components which will cause no trouble in microcirculation should be considered.
