This paper reports 33 cases of uremia patients with asthenia of kidney,and the relationship between Shen Yang deficiency and the state of endocrinologic and immunologic system.The results of immunoglobulins,C₃,CH₅₀,and rosette forming cells tests showed that most of kidney-asthenia patients,especially the Shen Yang deficiency patients has hypofunction of T cells and a lowered complement,and that 90% of this group were susceptible to repeated infection. Most of Shen Yang deficiency patients have been shown to have the hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid axis disorder by T₃,T₄ and TSH tests.All these values werelower than normal,but Shen Ying deficiency patients did not show such obvious changes.20 cues of kidney-asthenia with hypertension were studied for their Renin- Angiotension-Aldosterone alterations.The Angiotensin I,Angiotensin Ⅱ and aldosterone were lower than normal except one.The final results were found to be quite different from the general expressions of essential hypertension.
