扶正中药治疗肿瘤患者的10年随访观察

本文报道1974～1975年间,单用扶正中药或配合放疗、化疗的肿瘤患者10年随访结果。在50例恢复期服药的患者中,目前生存44例,死亡6例;而对照组21例中,则分别为13例和8例。在放射治疗配合扶正中药的43例子宫颈癌和乳腺癌患者中,目前生存32例,死亡11例;而单放疗的46例中,则各为23例。化疗期间配合扶正中药治疗的44例中,生存、死亡各为24例和20例,与对照组差异不显著。文中并分析了近期免疫指标的好转与远期疗效的关系。认为扶正中药有可能改善肿瘤患者的远期结果,值得进一步研究。

英文摘要:

A number of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs collectively known as Fu-zheng(FZ)therapy is used to promote or enhance the natural defense mechanism of cancer patients.Since 1974,clinical trials have been carried out,using FZ herbs either alone or as adjuvant therapy during radiotherapy or chemotherapy.The present paper reports the 10-year follow-up results of 213 cancer patients with FZ therapy.In 50 patients who received FZ therapy during remission,44 are still alive,while in the control group,only 13/21 survived(P<0.05).In three randomized studies:(1)32 of 43 patients with carcinoma of uterine cervix and the breast treated by radiation and FZ therapy survived.(2)But only 23/46 patients who received radiation alone survived(P<0.05).(3)Of 44 patients who received FZ therapy and chemotherapy,24 remain still alive,but the difference was insignificant as compared with the control group.It is correlated between the improvement of the non-specific cell-mediated immunity and long-term survival.Possibility of improving the long-term survival by adequate use of FZ therapy in certain malignancies and the necessity of further study are discussed.
