| The marks in 530 cancer patients according to the abnormalities of the length,color,diameter, turgidity,varicosity and the condition of the lateral zone of their sublingual vein were determined. 0 point was in 32 cases(normal sublingualvein,6.04%),1～5 points in 108 cases(20.38%),6～9 points in 199 cases(37.54%),and 10 points in 191 cases(36.04%).The total abnormality rate was 93.9%.The abnormality in male patients,in elderlies,in metastatic patients,in patients with blood stasis,and in patients with deficiency syndrome were more severe.Moreover,the abnormalities were more severe in the liver,gallbladder,pancreas and lung cancer patients and were mild in the kidney, nasopharynx,breast and thyroid cancer patients,they could be improved after the chemotherapy or radiotherapy alone,but aggravated by combined treatment of two or more therapies.There was a positive relationship between the abnormality and the hyperviscosity and the petechia of tongue. The above-mentioned data suggested that the abnormalities of the sublingual vein of these cancer patients were closely related to the blood stasis and the hyperviscosity.The latter may be the pathophysiological basis of the former. |
