本文报告水飞蓟宾对14例Ⅱ型糖尿病(NIDDM)患者红细胞山梨醇含量及神经传导速度的影响。NIDDM患者口服水飞蓟宾231mg/d 4周后,血糖无明显变化,而红细胞山梨醇含量明显减少,由72.55±21.61降至39.53±14.94nmol/g·Hb,P<0.01。周围神经传导速度有一定改善,但统计学差别不显著。本研究提示,水飞蓟宾是一种有效的醛糖还原酶抑制剂,有助于改善NIDDM患者体内多元醇代谢紊乱及防治糖尿病的一些慢性并发症。 |

The effects of silybin on red blood cell (RBC) sorbitol and nerve conduction velocity in 14 non-insulin dependent diabetic patients (female 9, male 5; average age 58.2 years) were reported. TheirRBC sorbitol levels averaged 72.55±21.61 nmol/g. Hb, a value almost two times of non-diabeticcontrols (33.31±7.82 nmol/g. Hb). After 4 weeks of silybin (231mg/d) therapy, RBC sorbitoldropped to 39.53±14.94 nmol/g. Hb, a highly significant reduction than that before silybin therapy.Silybin treatment had no effect on fasting blood glucose. In addition, silybin treatment slightlyimproved nerve conduction velocity, but statistically not significant. This report suggests that silybinmay be a potent aldose reductase inhibitor, and valuable in the prophylaxis and treatment of diabeticcomplications. |
