| In face of various complications due to the application of hemodialysis,treatment by hemodialysis alone has been unsuccessful.What is more,some are of medical complications in hemodialysis.Through clinical practice,it has been proved that the use of Chinese medicinal herbs according to differential diagnosis of symptoms and signs can achieve a certain degree of efficacy.Therefore,this method is worthy of recommending. In the course of maintenance hemodialysis,for the occurrence of disequilibrium syndrome in dialysis,it was treated with Wu Ling San(王苓散);for pericarditis and pericardial effusion,with the mixed decoction of Sheng Mai San(生脉散),Ling Gui Zhu Gan decoction(苓桂术甘汤)and Ting Li Da Zao Xie Fei decoction (葶苈大枣泻肺汤);for cardiogenic collapse,with intravenous injection of Sheng Mai San;for precursor of apoplexy,with Gui Shao Di Huang decoction(归芍地黄汤);for hypotension or chest pain,with intravenous in jection of Sheng Mai San or injection of Qi Xue(气血注射液);for anemia,with ginseng powder and Liu Wei Di Huang decoction(六味地黄汤);for pruritus,with modifications of Si Wu decoction(四物汤);for hypercoagulability,with Huo Xue Tong Mai tablets(活血通脉片);and for muscle cramps,with modifcations of Shao Yao Gan Cao decoction(芍药甘草汤). As a preliminary view,the authors hold that the use of Chinese medicinal herbs is not only effective in treating complications,but also helpful in raising the efficacy of hemodialysis.It follows that in the treatment of chronic renal failure,combining the use of Chinese medicinal herbs with hemodialysis would be more effective than simply using either of them. |
