:
现代医学认为,牙周病是细菌侵袭和宿主防御之间维持的动态平衡被打破时所发生的慢性感染性疾病。一些全身因素,如免疫缺陷、内分泌失调等均可降低宿主的防御力和修复力,从而导致疾病的发生或加剧病情的发展。随着年龄的增长,下丘脑-垂体-性腺轴发生变化,女性到了围绝经期(40~50岁左右),性腺功能明显减退,性激素(包括雌、雄激素)水平均显著下降,各靶器官的性激素受体密度发生改变,失去了性激素的保护,全身的骨质逐渐丢失而疏
